Worst U.S. Nursing Homes Listed

I recently came across an updated list of underperforming nursing homes in the U.S., which builds upon a previous list back in November 2007. The list not only identifies new additions, but also identifies those homes that have shown little improvement since November, as well as nursing homes that have made strides to create a healthier, safer environment for their residents.

It is important for families to have access to a list such as this one so that they do not send their loved ones to a dangerous facility. These families need to be able to feel safe and secure with the facility that they choose to put their loved ones in, and should be made aware of those facilities that are not able to offer proper care.

I also hope that this publicized list will encourage these underperforming facilities to improve upon their level of care.
